1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using AxiOstra ("the site"), you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account, or younger if your country sets a lower digital age of consent and you have permission from a parent or guardian. By registering you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for everything that happens under your account. Use a real email address that you control, because it is how you sign in and how we reach you. Do not share, sell or transfer your account to anyone else. If you believe your account has been compromised, change your password and tell us.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you post. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce and display that content on the site, for as long as it remains published. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except where the content has been shared or quoted by others.

You are responsible for what you publish. Do not upload anything you do not have the right to share.

5. Acceptable use

The site exists for scientific discussion. When using it, do not:

• post content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, or that incites violence;
• post sexual content involving minors, or any content that exploits or endangers children;
• infringe anyone else intellectual property or privacy;
• impersonate another person, or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone;
• post spam, unsolicited advertising, or repeatedly off-topic material;
• upload malware, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, other accounts, or the servers it runs on;
• scrape, crawl or bulk-download the site in a way that degrades it for other users;
• misuse the site to send unsolicited email to others.

6. Moderation and enforcement

Administrators may remove any content, and may suspend or close any account, that they reasonably believe breaches these terms or harms the site or its users. Where it is practical to do so, we will explain the reason. Serious breaches may result in an immediate and permanent ban.

7. Intellectual property of the site

The site itself — its design, its visualisation code, its explanatory text and its name and marks — belongs to the operator or its licensors, and is protected by copyright and other laws. You may read, share links to, and quote reasonable extracts with attribution. You may not republish substantial parts of it, or present it as your own, without permission.

8. Third-party services

The site depends on the infrastructure providers named in the Privacy Policy. Their services have their own terms, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions.

9. Availability and changes to the service

AxiOstra is a personal, non-commercial project. It is provided as-is and we do not promise that it will be available at any particular time, or that any feature will continue to exist. Features may be added, changed or withdrawn, and the site may be discontinued. Where reasonably possible, we will give notice before discontinuing the service. Please keep your own copies of anything you would be sorry to lose.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. The scientific models are teaching tools. They are simplified by design and are not a substitute for a textbook, a laboratory, or professional advice, and they must not be relied on for engineering, medical or safety-critical decisions.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, nor for any loss of data, content, reputation or opportunity, arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the site. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your profile page. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms. On termination, your right to use the site ends, and the provisions that by their nature should survive — including sections 4, 7, 10 and 11 — continue to apply.

13. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will note it on this page and update the date above. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator is resident, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here removes any consumer protection rights you have under the mandatory law of your own country of residence.
