AI Use Statement
Last updated 14 October 2026
AxiOstra relies substantially on generative AI for producing text and implementing visual and interactive material. This statement distinguishes human direction from AI production, explains the limits of review and preserves human accountability.
1. Human direction and AI production
The educational approach, teaching sequence and proposals for visualisations and interactions are put forward by the AxiOstra Operator as a human contributor. Because available production staff, time and practical production resources are limited, the actual wording, code, model construction and visual implementation rely heavily on AI generation and AI-assisted revision. This is substantial production assistance, not merely spelling correction.
The AxiOstra Operator identified on the About Us page decides what to publish and remains the accountable human contact. The use of AI does not turn a provider into the operator of this website and does not make the site an official product of any AI company. Particular tools and models can change; no fixed percentage of AI-generated content or universal sentence-by-sentence provenance is claimed.
2. Known limitations
Generative AI predicts and produces patterns; fluency is not evidence of truth. Output may contain hallucinated facts or references, invalid proofs, inaccurate terminology, missing assumptions, biased examples, coding defects or misleading visual relationships. Errors can persist through several AI-assisted revisions, and multiple tools agreeing does not establish independent verification.
A realistic model may still be schematic, an interactive control may conceal a simplifying assumption, and a translated explanation may not preserve every scientific qualification. The same caution applies to apparently precise numbers and confidently stated answers. Page-specific sources and stated assumptions help evaluation but do not establish that every output is error-free.
3. Review and retained responsibility
Human direction, source checking, mathematical checks, software tests and visual inspection may be used according to the material. These activities have different limits: passing software tests does not prove a scientific claim, and checking a reference does not validate every interpretation of it. No general claim of comprehensive expert, peer or legal review is made.
The AxiOstra Operator remains responsible for the decision to publish, the handling of substantiated corrections and applicable legal duties. The AxiOstra Operator may nevertheless be unable to detect misleading or hallucinated text or implementation errors, including errors that appear reasonable to a non-specialist. This limitation does not excuse ignoring known serious problems or eliminate the obligation to exercise reasonable care.
4. Use in learning and schools
Use AI-assisted explanations as material to examine, not as unquestionable authority. Check important conclusions, units, assumptions and references against an authoritative text or a suitably qualified teacher. Schools should review the specific pages they assign and explain the limits of simulations and AI-generated material. The Disclaimer gives the detailed safety and classroom boundaries.
Follow your institution’s rules on AI assistance and academic integrity. AxiOstra does not grant permission to submit generated answers as unaided work, bypass an examination rule or claim that a simulated observation is a real experiment. A suggested citation or reference should be opened and checked before being used in assessed or published work.
5. User data, messages and AI training
This statement concerns how educational materials and website implementation are produced. It is not permission to send account records, private messages, confidential submissions or other personal information to an AI provider. The User-Generated Content Agreement does not grant an AI-training licence, and any new processing of personal information requires an appropriate lawful basis, transparency and any consent required by law.
Private messages are encrypted and are not proactively screened as plaintext by the public-content moderation system. A participant who voluntarily includes a message in a report discloses that evidence for review. This statement does not promise that every third-party AI provider has identical retention or training practices; a provider’s handling of material actually supplied to it depends on the applicable service and settings.
6. Rights, reporting and corrections
AI generation does not guarantee that an output is original, free of third-party rights or protected by copyright. The Intellectual Property & Use Licence explains the rights that can actually be granted. Sources, licences and any applicable human authorship must be considered separately from whether AI was used.
Report a suspected hallucination, misleading model, invented citation or other error to [email protected] with the page and a specific explanation. The AxiOstra Operator will assess sufficiently specific concerns and make a correction, qualification or removal where warranted. Mandatory rights and remedies remain available; AI involvement is not a blanket disclaimer of responsibility.
