Keys for moving around the 3D labs

In a lab, hold these keys to move the view. Click a key, then press the key you want; Esc cancels and Backspace clears it. Each move can have two keys, and a key does one move only.

Up
Down

On a phone or tablet, the joystick in the lower left moves you forward, back, left and right, and the arrow buttons in the lower right move you up and down. Drag an empty part of the picture to look around; with the gyroscope on, turning the device turns the view too.

Your keys are saved in this browser only if you allow preference storage; otherwise they go back to the defaults when the page is reloaded. You can change this with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.

Theme

The colours the site opens with. "Follow the system" uses light or dark to match your device and changes when it does. The moon/sun button in the header still switches at any time.

Camera movement and turning

In the 3D labs, drag to turn the view. If it turns the opposite way to what you expect, invert that direction.

Debug mode

When a 3D model is shown in full screen (the button at the bottom right of a model, on computers), debug mode shows in the top-right corner how many frames per second are being drawn and the resolution they are drawn at. Use it to see whether your device keeps up; it changes nothing else.
